Harbor Freight Tools for Schools is excited to offer travel scholarships to eligible high school students competing in skilled trades competitions at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) this June in Atlanta. Students can apply to receive up to $1,500 to assist in attending the 2023 NLSC.

Curious about eligibility for the scholarship funds? Applicants must be current students in U.S. public high schools, and either a) competing in a skilled trades pathway, or b) competing in a Leadership Development competition and enrolled in a skilled trades program during the 2022-23 school year. Applications close May 22, 2023, and recipients will be announced on May 25, 2023. Students can apply here.

SkillsUSA serves more than 330,000 students and alumni annually, with students competing at the local, regional and national level in their chosen field. These competitions culminate in the Nationals, where the best from every state and territory compete in both technical and leadership skill areas.

Harbor Freight Tools for Schools has supported SkillsUSA since 2018. Harbor Freight Tools for Schools funding also enables SkillsUSA to make cash awards for every mdealist in each of the skilled trades competitions – $1,000 for gold, $750 for silver, and $500 for bronze.
