BRIDGE Housing at Jordan Downs & Evermont

Construction

This summer, teenage residents at Jordan Downs, one of L.A.’s largest public housing communities, learned foundational trade skills including welding, carpentry, plumbing and electrical, and framing a mini-house, as part of a two-week, 40-hour pilot through a partnership with BRIDGE Housing.

A true community partnership with BRIDGE Housing, The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), parents, and other community partners made this pilot program a huge success where all 17 students who enrolled, completed the program, resulting in 100% retention!
