California Advancing Pathways for Students (CalAPS)
Construction
CalAPS serves three school districts – Bellflower, Lynwood, and Paramount – delivering high-quality, in and after-school Career Technical Education (CTE) courses in 13 different pathway programs across 11 industry sectors.
This summer, 20 students participated in CalAPS’ inaugural cohort, including four weeks of training and working as a team to build a tiny house (carpentry, electrical and plumbing) on the Mayfair High School campus. The tiny house will serve as a school storage shed, with a plaque honoring the students who completed this work.
