Unique Program Components

  • This pilot program is a partnership between LBCC, the Port of Long Beach (POLB) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
  • Two program completers applied to the IBEW apprenticeship and were given “advanced standing” on their application due to their participation.
  • The program will culminate in a capstone project and include a series of extracurricular activities and experiences to support students in resume building and exploring careers in skilled trades.
