Unique Program Components
- Bell partnered with the Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC) to provide a seven-part training series through the summer and fall semester to equip students with essential career and life skills as they prepare for the workforce.
- Students completed the restoration and refurbishing of a school community “Club House” on campus.
- Several of the program participants will continue to work with Bell High School Carpentry Teacher, Mr. Hugh Creamer, to participate in an afterschool pre-apprenticeship program.

“Summer may be the only opportunity that some students may have to take the class. Basically it’s logistics due to possible conflicts during the school year. Any method to introduce students into automotive is desirable; auto classes during the school year, dual enrollment classes with Cerritos College, and, of course, the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools summer program.” Read more.
